I noticed a mass email was sent to the members. Sometimes this worries me.Email address can be sold. I have lost a ton of useful emails this way as I dump the account when the Spam starts. This forum account however is set up with a disposable email address. I have a PREMIUM Yahoo account and have limitless disposable addresses.I just set one up and use it where ever. Each address is pushed to my REAL email address. Each is marked by a different color. When Spam starts,I just dump the disposable address and the problem is solved without loosing all my emails.
No offense guys. This forum is new and I felt it warranted a disposable address.

Can you explain a little more so if I need to take some type of action I can better understand. Don't know that much about the email system here and it looks like I need to learn something new Dave

Mc Had to read your remark a couple of more time to understand what you were saying and I now understand and correct me if I am wrong please.
I David Smith have never and will never Sale yours or anyones email address to anyone at anytime and anyplace and you have my word on this as long as I am the admin here.
As far as what you do that is up to you and I will not do anything to try and change your mind. This is a free world that we live in and the right to choose is yours.
Each and every member at this forum has a choice when they sign up here to let each and every member either see their email address or they can choose to hide this information, this is up to you.
As the admin I am the only one and will stay the only one that is able to see you email address, in either case. This is so that I may communicate with the complete membership at one time and this is the only time I will ever use this part of the system. It makes it so I don't have to write, at this time 58 separate emails.
This is only a tool for me to communicate with everyone as a whole at one time and this information will never be sold. Dave

That is good to hear.I believe you and trust you on this matter.I have never been given a reason not to. I have however been burned a few times. I don't expect this will happen in this case. My REAL email has been shown here a few times. I put that out there for the members.Only the owner of the forum is likely to have the ability to sell an email address. I just don't know at this time who that owner is. Don't be offended.Please. My email is erniemcdowell@ymail.com You are privie to this because I trust you. Without the http:/ part,a computer won't pick it up. I hope the servor you've chosen never phishes. I am with you on the building of this forum.I just won't blindly put my personal info in the hands of a third party provider. I hope the post of my personal email shows my faith in you and your cohorts. Don't let me down

Hey Mckrackin, might I recommend something... There are harvester bots that live on the web. They will automatically join forums such as this, and they are there only to harvest email addresses for spam. They key off of the @ symbol, generally.
In the future, I would highly recommend you change the way you post your email on forums to something like ernieisme -at- erniesmail -dot- com. Or some such. Best, Kent

Is there any way to make yourself "invisible" or smash the spider, if you will? Hey, you ought to drop by the guestbook or one of the other areas and post a little bit about your heli stuff. I am a noob myself. One month into my HBFP.

AKPhill Yea, any forum would do. I'm just curious and probably if it ends up on this thread some might not see it. My post didn't quite sound right. Sounded pushy. Didn't mean it that way. Hope you didn't see it like that ;D ;D This is a very open and user-freindly forum. You'll like it here.
