I saw that the other day. I plan on waiting for a few more reviews to come in and then giving it a try. No doubt it is an unauthorized knockoff, but for that price I would stick it on a foamy and not really care if it crashed.

That's exactly what I'm doing with the cloned Spektrum Rx's. I'll keep the real Rx's for the better aircraft.

Well one thing A guy needs to check on that rx is it's a 8 channel rx and the 6ex wont run it same as the 7 wont run 8 channels either so one wants to be sure it will run on your radio ;D I dont think I will be trying one out for my tx futaba 6ex

It has been a couple of months since I read up on these, so I might be remembering this wrong. But the FAAST TX will work with a FAAST RX even if the RX has more channels in most cases. I've been using a 7 channel RX with my 6 channel TX from day one.
I'll try to recheck that when I get a moment.

Ooops, sorry Phil. I forgot you also had a Futaba. I have no clue on Futaba compatibility, but I know I can use a 7 Ch Rx with my DX6i. I just won't have use of the 7th channel.

A little clarification on my comment. I don't mean you can use all 7 or 8 channels on a 6ex. No matter the RX, the TX will set the limits. I use a 617 RX (7 channel) on my heli, but only can utilize 6 with my 6ex TX. Goes without saying for most but I didn't want to leave the wrong impression for a newbie.

Good link, Phil. I had seen that before but forgotten. Although I am mixing my RX's and TX's on my heli an my foamies, I've never ventured outside the combinations listed on that chart. Here is a more detailed review I found on this: www.rcmodelreviews.com/fasst_compatible_review.shtml

pretty interesting article so which one of us is going to try first ;D I've got a 6 and 7 channel TX, but if the chart is accurate, that probably won't work. ;D Surely they will pump out another knock off like an R617FS.
