I have been playing around with a bunch of different electrical connectors for several months now because I have bad arthritis in my hands and find that some batteries are really difficult to connect & disconnect. I'm not refering to the small one cell systems like the HobbyZone Champ, or the mCX or mSR, but two cell or larger systems. I have played around with just about everything on the market and have decided to go with Anderson Power Poles. They are cheaper, can be crimped or soldered, make a solid, strong connection, and are far easier to connect/disconnect than any other type I have tried. They are even approved by the FAA for use on full scale aircraft & helis. The main drawback to using them in the past has been that the crimper has cost $40.00 which is pretty costly. "Powerwerx" now has a $12.95 crimper that works on all but the 45 amp size which takes most of the sting out of the cost. (They come with coupler ratings of 15 amp, 30 amp, & 45 amps, although the overall size of the connector is the same). It you choose to solder them instead of crimping, you will find them very easy to connect. The Deans plugs are hard for me to solder (like attaching a wooden closet rod to the wide side of a 2X4). Bullet connectors and Anderson Power Poles are like putting a celery stalk in a drinking glass and are very easy even for folks that are inexperienced with soldering. I wouldn't recommend them for smaller size planes and helis becacse they are slightly larger then some (but not all) other connectors. A connected pair measures 1 5/8" long which isn't bad. They also don't need heat shrink to prevent a short. Try 'em, you'll like 'em.

Remind me to send you all my EC3 connectors, Ray. I got 'em when HobbyCity changed from Deans but decided to go with the XT60's.
As far as the Anderson's, a number of flyers use those and like 'em. A little harder to get in Canada is all.
