I have had it with wires so I found a job that I think akent would be the perfect person this is what I want all servos and gyros should be made with a tiny receiver in them the present receiver will have a built in transmitter it only has to transmit about 3 feet or so. Of course to make it perfectly wireless the servos and gyro will need a tiny rechargeable battery it would make one clean installation, could I have that by the end of the month Kent??? ... Ray

Hey Kent while you are at it could you make a charging mat so I can just set the heli on the mat and it will charge all the batteries?? Thanks Ray

Hmmm, I bet we're not that far away from RF activated servos. Finding the right route and attachment for all the wiring is definitely a PITA.
The charging mat...well, maybe not so close.

They already use a charging mat with rc cars. All you have to do is set the car on the remote and it charges. Zip Zaps.

Actually, except for power, that's all doable!
I'm designing right now a remote wireless pipeline monitoring system that is wireless between measurement nodes. The nodes last for 7 years minimum, but they have a 'C' sized lithium battery in there!
The problem is not with the wireless communications, but with the power.
What I think would be awesome, would be for a main 'receiver' to be a transceiver for the servos as well as a power server for them as well, like a local version of these inductive chargers.
The concept is awesome. Whoever designs something like this first will surpass Bill Gates in wealth! There are a lot of reasons why this is hard to do!
But it's cool and I commend you Ray for bringing it up! Kent

If you can eliminate wiring and, more importantly, connectors there goes 75% of your electrical problem potentials.

i just want the charge mat with balancing that would be so cool. i know balance would be hard, ut would be nice if you had a pad ya could set it on, and plug the battery into it for balance only that would be so cool.

oh i know i got one for my wii remotes not really a mat but same idea, just lay them down. the main thing with the charging mats is the battery has to be made to use magnetics to charge from the way i understand it.
