I started this project a few months ago and still working on it, but it's close. I elected to go with a CNC King2 head due to compatibility issues and swash design, but I'm not real thrilled with the head at this point. The Radon has a different layout, servo-wise, than anything else I've seen on the market and I thought it would be an interesting project. The head will be changed to a Trex style and I'm still working on a canopy as this is wider than most due to the servo layout. Attachments:

The head looks good and it spools up real smooth, but I can't for the life of me get it adjusted satisfactorily. Attachments:

You can see the servo arrangement here. They are all on the same level and arranged at 120 degrees around the main shaft so all servo linkage rods are the same length. I used a Turnigy 30A Plush ESC and a HK401B gyro. The motor is a HDX 300 3800kv from HeliDirect. I've used these before in other projects and they work well, plud HD had them on for $10. Cyclics are HXT900's from HC and tail servo is a Henge 922, also from HC. I found a delrin main gear in HongKong and cut down a HK 12mm CF boom to fit the belt length. The canopy mounts are off a Blade SR and lengthened to clear the protruding servos. Tail is the standard cheapie blue CNC metal setup. Blades are HBK2 blue 275MM woodies and I had to go to a 1500mAh LiPo to get good CG. I'll post follow-up pics with the canopy decision and a head that works. Attachments:

What, in particular, are you having trouble adjusting?

It took me quite a while to get both blades on the same plane. To the point where, to get them to track, the linkages are not the same length. Now the blades track, but the flybar and associated links are out of whack. It's just not an intuitive head design. The first and second pic shows the head at mid stick, or zero pitch.

OK, I see the problem. That servo layout is the problem I guess. I don't think you could get the geometry right any other way than by trial and error. And maybe; it just won't work at all.
