Thanks to Sol, 19000 and a few others I am building a 450 and it is turning out real nice which lead me to thinking .... I know I know its dangerous when that happens  ... Anyway I was thinking how could I protect my investment cheaply if my poor flying abilities, weather, or a mechanical failer there are not very many option's except a co-pilot maybe. Then it come to me I think I will design a ballistic parachute I get my self in trouble I kill the throttle hit a switch and boom a parachute blows out the ass end and the heli floats down gently  Well thats the plan anyway I thought it sounds kind of cool... I am still working on the details I have so many irons in the fire I don't know which one to complete first! A ballistic chute would help on the planks as well it might have stopped 19000 from shooting his through the Metro Dome and causing that big collapse. I see they had to shoot another hole in it to release pressure hell they could have just called 19000 and let him finish what he started  .. Ray |
