He is going to outline the windshield and fog it. Add my name and Trex 500. Few coats of clear still needed. Lookin good so far though.

Thats one awesome paint job. It sure beats the heck out of my one color wonder bodies for my rc cars, that I attempt to paint. ;D

I've stared at it so long,I've decided I like it as is with no windshield. He has done some sanding and clear coat. I like the way the orange appears to be a couple mm above the base color. Here's a couple mock ups of the text.... It'll be a sad day in Mudville when this one goes in ;D

I vote for the top version of the lettering.

Someone is going pro here, or it looks like it from the paint job! I love it, Mr. Mckrackin!
The way the paint does that 3d thing is amazing. It really does look like it's standing away from the base!
Wow!
I also like "Pilot: Earnie McKrackulator" Heehee! Kent

I think I'm going with something between the two lettering choices. The problem with the top one is that the black is very narrow and it would look odd from the front. The orange runs a little higher than the photo angle shows.

Ernie like I said before that is one sick paint job. If I were you I would fly it once and then retire that heli to the mantle in the living room. Dave

Looks too nice to fly it much. That would be a show piece for me.

Wow Ern. I'm seriously impressed. I know how hard it is to paint an aircraft and I've only stuck with simple designs. Maybe you could throw up a tutorial or something. I would love to get a handle on depth of th design and masking.

Good ideal there Gabe, maybe Ernie could talk kloner into coming over here for a visit and show us guys how its done.
What do you think Ernie, can you talk him into it or would you like for me to ask him?
Dave
