New sub forum for those of us interested in painting. Thanks to Dave for not only supporting our heli habits, but our other interests as well.
I'm going to sticky this thread because I want as much paint information at the top. I plan on adding links to this thread and want it to become the place to come first if you have a paint question. Hopefully we'll have people willing to review anything paint related.
I'll be moving some information around as well. Keep your eyes peeled for changes

I went over to Harbor Freight the other day and picked up an inexpensive airbrush and compressor. I haven't used an airbrush in a long while. This should be fun |

Totally forgot about HF. "All Things that Fly" did a whole show on the HF Airbrushes. Let us know how it works out. Take some pics of your artwork too. I want one too, maybe I'll get one soon.

I'll keep you posted. My first project is going to be touchup work on my Sabre/Fury that I'm building. Then I'll do some custom work on the Super Cub and P47. If all that goes well I'll work on a 500 size canopy.

I put it all together yesterday and sprayed the tail and wing stripes on the Fury. The oranges were two different colors now; they match. Not much of a challenge since it's painting 101. At least I know every thing is working properly. I used acrylic since most planes are painted with that. Easier cleanup than enamels too. Can't beat the Harbor Freight setup for the money. Compressor and 3 Gal. Tank: $59 Airbrush: $9.95    |
