That jet looks nice! I wonder if it has enough power? It's a pretty good sized jet with a 70mm fan. But only a 45 amp esc running on 4s... Humm....I didn't see any reviews...

I don't think the Rebel is going to be real fast, but probably at least as fast, as the 257 gram heavier Habu, which, IMHO, is a bit of a sloutch in the speed dept. There are at least 3 planes that trying to fill the same 70mm niche with similar designs and construction. The Habu, The Rebel 70 and the least expensive; the Dynam Meteor at only $129. Dynam makes some nice planes for the money. www.graysonhobby.com/catalog/dynam-meteor-70mm-sport-p-1131.htmlAll of these planes offer a good airframe design for a reasonable balance of aerobatic performance, speed and stability. So where do the differences lie? 1) The Habu, being the heaviest of the group, probably needs that 60A ESC to power the fan/motor that's working harder to go as fast as it does. 2) All 3 planes are using 3k to 3.2k motors. Not much difference there. 3) The other 2 planes are lighter (The Dynam is about the same weight as the Rebel) and don't require as much current due to their lighter weight and their need for less aggressive fan configurations to provide good thrust and speed. Here's a youtube on the Dynam: www.youtube.com/watch?v=jigH86GeztoHere's HL's Rebel video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6BrdDl0Usw&feature=player_embeddedComparing the Meteor to the Rebel in the video it "appears" that the Meteor is faster. But, then NitroPlanes isn't the most trusted source for accurate representation of their products. I haven't seen reviews on the Rebel. It hasn't been officially released yet, but I'd expect reviews to show up soon.

That looks like a really nice jet. If Im ever in the market for one I think this is the one I would get if the reviews are good.

Sooner or later you should try an EDF. It's a much different flying experience than a prop plane. And the sound of the fan is really something. I think you'll like it
