Found these Permatex thread lockers at O'Reilly's (formerly Checker Auto Parts) a few weeks ago. Thought I'd give them a try last night. The perfect answer if the liquid threadlock is too thin and the "chap stick" is too thick. This stuff is awesome. About the same cost as the stick Thread lock. Yep, no more CA. A thread lock that wont damage/is made specifically for plastic. Now I don't have to worry about my CA going off before I can get the screw in. I backed out all my screws on my Hirobo and applied this last night. Very nice. All you need is a little... clean, and it works well.

Thanks! The gel sounds very interesting. I also hate using CA with screws in plastic. I invariably end up gluing my fingers to stuff.

This is the best threalocker I've ever used. I used this on my gasser build and not one screw that I used it on has budged (gassers are high torque, vibration prone). It's a little stronger than Loctite or some of the other blue liquid threadlockers so a ton is not necessary. I used liquid threadlock on the head of my gasser and had a screw back out. I rebuilt the head with Permatex and none of the screws have moved.

Great find doozer I hate using CA on plastic too. Permatex is a great brand. I've used some of there other stuff on cars going back to the 60's. I used their head gasket & header gasket material on my 69 Hemi Roadrunner. Now, that brings back some real happy memories.
