No shame in Mickey D's. We all started somewhere. I bagged groceries for 3 years and pushed shopping carts to pay for my toys when I was young.
Everyone is right. You'll learn a lot about the real world and develop some skills you can take with you to your next venture.

Well now Im about to be even busier... Thanks to my friends they set me up with a date tonight with this girl that I work with. Ive only worked with her twice, shes pretty good looking though. The only thing is I hate it when people set me up like this with out even telling me whats going on. Im about to say F it all. I dont know what to do. On a side note tonight I might be getting the dollar tree foam board so I can start on the extra 300.

Give it a chance. You just never know. I mean the girl. The dollar tree foam is a sure bet.

Just the only thing is about the girl, my friends already told her that Im going to a see a movie with her tonight. And she posted on FB that she was excited but nervous for tonight. I still have no clue what to do and whats going on. I cant just not show up, and I dont really want to go on a date with her yet. Sometimes it pays to be a hermit and not talk to anyone.

basher, forget the hermit stuff and go for it. Life's too short for that kind of thinking. At least it's not a blind date and she's not a complete stranger. Plus she's good looking (your words).
The "date" time is over as I type this, but I hope you had a good time.

I got the dollar tree foam yesterday, enough to complete the extra 300. A couple of the pieces are a little warped but other people have said that it straightens out after you take the paper off. Any tips that I should know before I cut it out? I know use a new sharp exacto knife blade.

Did you buy enough foam to build two planes? If so, you might ask that lady friend if she wanted to learn to fly R/C!
Then, it would be R/C Basher and R/C Bashette!

Although I did show my other lady friend that I liked for 2 years a youtube video of an rc car going 120 mph, then she wanted to come to my house. Sadly though she has a BF and likes guys just a little too much if you know what Im saying.

Well I got all the pieces cut out today for the extra 300. Now I cant decide if I should leave the paper on the foam board or not. I took the paper off of the rudder and its alot more flimsy, so Im thinking about leaving it on.
Im also wondering what paint works best on foam, I think Ill experiment a little on scrap pieces and see.

If your not reinforcing the foam I think leaving the paper on will work the best.
The accelerants in most spray cans will eat that type of foam from what I've read. I think acrylics are the best. But you're right. Testing paints on foam is the best way to know for sure.

Yeah, the paper is what gives it it's strength. Plus it'll be easier to paint as well.

Yeah without the paper its just way to flimsy for my comfort. I still will reinforce it with carbon fiber tubes where its recommended.
I found that the orange paint that I used for my Exi 450 canopy works well. Im thinking about painting it orange and blue.
What should I use for aileron tape? Or doesnt it really matter, I was thinking about maybe packing tape. To make the elevator and ailerons, I cut a 45* angle on the edge that attachs to the fuse, right?
I glued together the two halves of the wings, now I have to order the electronics.

I usually cut the angle on the moving surface.
Packing tape should work. I like Blend Derm, available at the LHS, that is a stretchy kind of tape they use in hospitals.

Thanks 19k, Ill look around and see what I got, maybe I have something else that would work better. Im thinking about painting it today. The one thing that I love about this build is the cost, the total cost of the foam was $2. And I have enough foam sheets to make a second one.

And that's the main attraction of dollar tree foam. How else can you build a plane for a buck?
