We were over at the HS parking lot, empty for a change because of it being the Saturday before Father's Day, for a little driving and flying fun. I had just flown the TV F16 and the wife was driving the Stampede up and down the parking lot slamming on the brakes while turning hard to make the truck do a simultaneous spin out a 360 degree flip. That was working out about 1/2 the time. I asked her to bring the truck in for a moment, so I could get the mustang in the air, and when she drove up forgot to put the brakes on and hit the F16 knocking one of the flying stabs off.  Anyway, I'm bent over with my back to the parking lot epoxying the stab back on and notice a car pulling up behind me out of the corner of my eye. I wasn't really paying much attention. Just thought it was someone coming over to talk about the truck or the plane. When I finally turned around to look at them there's this guy In a shiny new black Buick Lacrosse. Uh, wait a minute it, that's not a Buick it's a frikin' Maserati Quatroport! Instead of asking questions about the truck or planes he challenges my wife to a drag race. "Are you serious we ask?" He just laughed and said, "Meet me at the end of the lot." I go for the camera and crapola, I'd forgotten to put it in the car after taking some reference shots at home earlier in the AM. Well, they line up at the end of the lot, he beeps his horn to start the race and off they go. The Stampede leaps a head momentarily as the Maserati smokes it tires and then quickly overtakes the Stampede. They go by with the Maseratti guy laughing his head off with the Stampede in hot pursuit. He keeps going and then pulls out of the lot waving and still laughing. We're standing there in kind of a daze wondering, "Did that really happen?" Uh, yeah, but who's going to believe it? ;D |

I wonder what the 0-60 time would be with brushless? I'm thinking the big 4 door Maserati is in the 4 second range.

Ohh yeah the castle 4600 system would smoke it to 50 MPH if she could keep from flipping over

r/c put me on to a brushless upgrade from Hobbypartz that should do the trick.
