Nah... sorry, that didn't happen I did crash it though. Some sort of mech failure. I'm pretty sure it was the plastic main shaft bearing blocks since they looked like grated cheese. Little plastic shavings were everywhere. Landed upright on the skids... Just doinked it. Shut the engine down completely. Pull start snapped the starting gear on the flywheel, pull start and guard are toast, broken skid, 2 bearing blocks totaled, bent tail hub, bent main shaft, 2 links broken, grip arm bent, bent flybar, bent control shaft for ele servo, punctured gas tank (cactus) All blades made it. The tail blades are a little scratched, but hardly worth mentioning. I went to my LHS and picked up a 10 oz Sullivan Tank. I was going to get a Hayes but they were out of the 10 ouncers. I also picked up a metal tank cap.... much better. I like the Sullivan tank because I'm able to put 10 oz in without spilling gas all over the place from the vent. The cap is in the center which makes the tubing slide right behind the throttle servo. I not going to replace the flywheel. The engine top starts so I'm just going to buy a cover and top start it from now on. Here's the main damage:

Already back up and running. I just have to be careful not to grab underneath the engine until the cover comes in. I'll take some pics in a few hours, too hot to fly today. Looks like air time is going to be at a minimum for the next couple of months.
In a couple of weeks I'm going to start looking for a 700 air frame. Looking to build an 800.

I just hovered it a bit then called it quits. It was smokin hot outside. My season's almost over. Got a couple of 110+ days coming up. Here's a pic showing the post crash full metal version. 11.4 lbs. Metal Bearing blocks. If you have an ESP, you'll need these. There is just too much slop/play with the stock ESP Aileron Control Arms.

damn cox. This is why I had to scrap the idea of putting my builds in "album" format. They really aren't too user friendly.
