Two bulletins out on the new DX8. One for DSMX transmitters operating in DSM2 mode (other Spektrum TX's affected as well) and one for gimbal glitches. Read the info here... www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Support.aspx?ProdID=SPMR8800*It's a shame that we as hobbyists cannot go out and buy a new Spektrum Tx without worrying about what glitch is awaiting us just around the corner. * This is strictly the personal opinion of an owner of 3 Spektrum Tx's (one now sold) where all 3 have been sent back to Horizon for critical updates.

What the heck no dates on either of the SB. Man if they did that in the industry that I work in you would get you doors locked for you by the FAA.

I'm not one to scare easy and I never seem to have the problems with Horizon products that some do but these bulletins make me think.
A bad radio can cost me $3,000 in one whack.
I dropped my DX8 dreams and bought a JR 9303.
Thanks guys.

Wow! That Gimbal recall sounds just like the bad pot issues with the DX6i! There is NO EXCUSE for using crappy pots in a transmitter like this!!
There really is no excuse for any of these recalls. They need to fire their QA people, starting at the top.
Like you McKrackin, I went with a JR9503. I love it and have had zero issues with it. It just lacks telemetry. Kent
