The boys over at Horizon must have been listening to the hoards of fans that they replace the old, discontinued, Spitfire. The new Spitfire is another example of the Parkzone evolutionary product design and marketing approach. The Spit fits right in with the P47D product type featuring a larger size airframe with 15 motor and retracts and flaps optional. The scale detail is very good. It comes with a 2 blade prop and runs a 30A ESC. It's begging for a semi scale 3 blade prop. I wouldn't be surprised if the 3 blader from the PKZ BF109 might work as well as others. Attachments:

Beautiful plane! It looks like the pendulem is starting to swing the other way; away from Ultra Micros to larger models again.

Yeah, I've been eyeballing that one, too! They are doing an awesome job with these new planes! Kent

Beautiful plane! It looks like the pendulem is starting to swing the other way; away from Ultra Micros to larger models again. I think they're developing and introducing products in both directions: Larger and micro planes. A very good thing IMO. I'm going to get a Spitfire airframe and put in retracts, flaps, a Power 25, 60A ESC, 14volt pack and a 3 blader. Just for the low, high speed, passes. Oh yeah, and some machine gun lights. The only thing I question on this plane is the landing gear set up. It looks like it will have a tendency to be a little squirrelly like the BF109. That's OK though; just takes a little finesse on TO and landings.

OK. I'm going to get one of these babies and mod it with a 25, 3 blade prop and 3 & 4 S. Of course it will have retracts and split flaps if I can manage it.
