Well it finally made it to MS and boy is it hot. What have you been doing this summer besides cutting the grass. Dave

Let's see, what have I been doing other than WORK...
Watching Dave juggle his time between building his new Gaui and inviting the neighbors over for a swim in his inside pool. I'm thinking pontoons are on order for the Gaui.
Keeping an eye on Basher and his new venture into DIY foamies. Cut, glue, crash, rebuild...and repeat. I'm thinking the dollar foam would make decent kites.
Checking in on Ray and his almost-scratch Huey and the where's-the-pics saga. I guess we could all take up a collection for a photographer to come in and ease his picture taking pain.
Turning green with envy over 19k getting out every day and flying the crap out of everything he owns. I'm lucky to get an hour every month or two and flying like crap.
Getting a kick out of Kent and his new found band of brothers at the flying field. He's having enough fun for 5 or 6 of us. I'm thinking if Kent and 19k got together with all their toys, they could fly something different each day for about two months. Good onya boys.
Waiting patiently for BT to drop in for one of his verbal fly-bys. Always good to keep the humour level up around here. Not to mention keeping Dave in line.
Other than that....

Keeping an eye on Basher and his new venture into DIY foamies. Cut, glue, crash, rebuild...and repeat. I'm thinking the dollar foam would make decent kites. Thats about right Sol. Cut, glue, crash, rebuild and repeat. Im loving every second of it. Lets see for me, its been working at Mcdonalds not enjoying it that much. Flying every now and then. And me and my friends are each building up lawnmowers to race. So far mine and my one other friends lawnmower run, and my other two friends lawnmowers not so much. Stayed out until 2 in the morning last night with my friends by Lake Michigan and learned some valuable lessons. Lesson #1- 90% of people don't see a 100 dollar bill when its laying on the ground. Maybe the fishing line tied to it gave it away. Or they were just to drunk. ;D Lesson 2- Some people that work at golf courses are stuck up and kinda rude. 3- My friend's truck tops out at about 110mph of course I learned this a while ago. 4-Some police officers are cool, even though your still at the beach at 11:30 at night, "fishing" with a 100 dollar bill. 5-Its hard to hit a golf ball across the beach into Lake Michigan when your standing in the parking lot. 6- People at walmart at 1:30 in the morning look sketchy. 7-The scooters at walmart are slow, but can turn on a dime probably to avoid hitting people with older peoples reflexes, and there pretty durable when you crash into a light pole. So thats been my summer so far.

Checking in on Ray and his almost-scratch Huey and the where's-the-pics saga. I guess we could all take up a collection for a photographer to come in and ease his picture taking pain. I am doing that just to keep you guessing I have been trying to catch up on yard work and other than trying to keep the City running I have been driving Akent nuts with electronic questions. 19000 and I have both been busy with the SR DDVP but the sales of the SR have dropped ( Who Could Have Guessed That???) And yes I will get the pictures here soon on the Huey build.. I am just making sure the paint is dry before the re-assembly and I want to think of a lot of dumb questions to ask Sol about picture taking just to make sure his life is not boring. Which brings us to Dave just mentioning his name brings tears to your eyes how could one person be so funny.... But looks are not everything

Tried, not so hard, to quit flying for the summer. That first heat wave kind of killed my spirit. I started putting things away and found that I still had the drive to fly. I try to make it so when I pick back up in the Winter I don't have a whole bunch of work to do, but that lead to a total rebuild of my gasser. So... I guess I'll be flying when I can. I'll be starting a 700 gasser build soon. I think I'll be going with a Century Radikal G30.
Shortest time away yet.

You know for some reason I knew you would not be able to put it down this summer no matter how warm it got
