Etching

[Doozer]

Gonna try my hand at etching my chrome on my gasser. It's been blinding me lately and I want to dull it up a bit, but do it with some style. I'm going to attempt flames.

That's a great idea, Doozer!
That will work on any surface, including glass, too!

Be sure to get a very good respirator. I don't mean a funky paper face mask, either. That dust will destroy your lungs.
Home Depot sells the 3m ones with the fine filters.

got one brother, but good lookin' out. I use my mask to clear.

I'm going to practice on an old computer case. I'm going to video it from start to finish. I'm in the process of changing my bearings on my gasser right now and watching some etching videos at the same time. They're on glass though. Thank god for iPad. I'm just clearing my mind a bit right now. If anyone knows of any good etching videos... post up the links.

This is going to be interesting Doozer to see the outcome. I took a look around to see if I could find anything on it and most of what I saw was for glass. Looks like you are on your own with this one unless you can come up with something.

lol. Nah, I had a few set backs with my video camera I needed to work out, dropped my flip camera and now it doesn't power up. The etching went to the back burner until I dug up the trusty HandyCam. I'm going to fly some tomorrow if it doesn't rain and then start working on the pipe.
