Been trying to get paid for work performed this last winter with not much luck Well in the last two weeks I have been given one pickup truck and 2 motor homes and a 4 wheeler by people who owe me money for work performed I took the vehicles to help them out and now I guess I need to see if I can peddle them and at least get my money out of them if I can then I might be able to pay some of my bills to the heli shops so I can get more parts  But in all seriousness I am finding a lot of people are having more money issues than I can remember lately but I wonder if gas being $4.36 a gallon has anything to do with it ? Just had to see if you guys are having the same issues where you are ? |

I've observed bartering for services always increases in a bad economy. Not any different this time around I guess. I remember they had bartering clubs in the 80's, but most shut down from IRS pressure because of the fact that the barter transactions were not charged any tax. I remember thinking then: Yeah, thanks gov, you let the profitiers ruin our economy, and rather than chase them, you chase the victims.  |
