Odd. Apparently Ern had a falling out with a few folks and then just took down his whole forum.
I think he and a couple of others have that warrior gene that they were talking about on Dr. Phil the other day, or so my wife told me.
That's what I love about this place. No bickering! Maybe I post too much. Sorry if I do. I just like all my buddies here. Kent

They wanted a forum where they're free to bash anyone they want. They got it. They built it under the guise of free speech without reprisal. I am the first member banned

I'd post some of the comments that Ernie left to warrant his ban, but I've got a lot more respect for you guys. Hope you got more respect than to do something like that around here Ern, Dave deserve that.

Hummmm what to say. I guess I'll start with thanks to rcdbutz for not posting the comments. What went on there went on there and not here, so please don't bring it here. Since opening this place for you guys 2 1/2 years ago I have had a run in with a couple of people but we worked it out and all but one is still here to this day and very active. I have only every banned one person and it was not for a run in with him, it was because of action at other forums and at that time and at this time I have no regrets for it. I don't expect everyone to be an angle, like me but I do expect everyone to respect everyone here and to act like grownups. If you do have an issue with someone here I hope that you will respect everyone else and us the pm part of this forum to fight it out. Remember I do have the lock topic button, as does the GM and the Mods and they have my blessing to use it if they feel that it needs to be used. Oh and just for everyone's info, I am the only one here that has the ban button, so if it happens I just want everyone to know where it came from, me and no one else. Dave Edit: I had forgotten that the Global Moderator also has the ban button and also has my blessing to use it if needed.

I would never post that kind of crap anywhere except the collective. It was my understanding that was the reason for starting it.
I also only repeated some horrible words that were posted on Krackhaus boards by members of the collective. One of which I see is banned at RR now for bashing.
Posting it got the thread locked. I posted another thread to recognize the irony of it and was banned.

Just for the record, free speech doesn't really exist. You will always be moderated in some fashion. Free speech is most often defined as "free speech as long as I like what you have to say." That's not really free speech. With free speech, you take it all, good and bad. With free speech, everyone has a right to say whatever they want, unmoderated. So everyone, and that includes people that are unliked, would have the right to say whatever they want, without fear of a ban on a forum started in this fashion. To ban someone is to ban free speech.
To be truthful, I'd rather have a forum full of people that are courteous, kind, respectful and funny (much like this one) than have one where anyone can say anything.
You have good people there Deater, you included. I like you all very much, and I enjoyed the Krackhouse very much. I got more gasser info from that forum than anywhere else. The truth is, you'll never have free speech man. That's a fairy tale. I think it would have been better for you guys to have compromised and stayed with the Krackhouse. There was a lot of love there. I read and saw the disappointment when it was gone. That could have been avoided.

Our point with "The Collective" site is more about what you were talking about Doozer, a place where people are courteous, kind, respectful and funny. We basically want to be free of hot-heads that make the place less fun, jack threads over arguments that are matters of opinion, those kinds of things. We're not trying to make topics taboo, but if any of you saw the comments posted by McK, you would understand why I did what I did. The site is still a work in progress, but I hope you guys will all be willing to come and check it out when it's ready to go.
Peace guys!
