I just got a maxstone 16 crawler and wanted to know if I could use an 8.4v battery in it. It comes with a 7.2v in it. I don't know if it would be too much for the electronics or anything.

My suggestion to this is to try it and see what happens. It shouldn't damage the electronics. If you want, you can use lipo and you'll notice about the same amount of performance as the 8.4v battery. Just watch the voltage on the battery there probably isnt any LVC on the esc. I use a timer.

Cool, I'll give it a shot. I asked because I already have an 8.4v lying around. Also, do you know any good tricks for minimizing the torque twist on this little guy? It's pretty bad and is quite annoying in certain situations.

If you put more shock preload spacers on the shocks, making the springs stiffer, that should help.
