Raygun's going to install a DDVP tail on my old Black Hawk. This is going to be an example of a generic 450 application for the DDVP. If we have some success with it and probably a Blade 450 3D as well, we may make up some kits.

Is the Black Hawk tail different from the Trex?
I still think a DDVP kit for the Trex 450 (and larger??) would be a great offering for scale builders. All of the scale models with a raised tail that I've looked at look less than robust.
Raygun's tail on the Huey is awesome looking! Kent

I don't think there is much difference in the Trex and BH tails. The main thing will be shaft diameter which will need to be the same. We'll let you know how it comes out.
I think you're right about the scale applications. That's a fairly large market.

The choice of motor was more than enough I think it is about as perfect as it gets for the application.. Ray

I have been working on 19000 Black Hawk changing it over to DDVP and I know I will get S#@t for this but from a design stand point this this is so much better built than a Trex 450. It is also heavier but man this thing is solid and well engineered... Ray
