i dont have any fuel, lol. figured without cyclics theres no real reason to run it. ill set idle with my trim tab leave stick down.

just read your other reply, if i remember end points are running in the 80s they were set with trim all the way down. ill trim half way with stick down and see what it looks like

al done for now till i get cyclics and blades. ive got enough in paypal pending funds to buy cyclics and will scrounge up enough for blades.




i think the tail is ready to fly but weshall see on spool up still need to adjust for a driftless rate mode hover but as is she should easily fly hh

curious what a good throttle curve to start with is 60-70% at half stick??

80% or more is OK on throttle end points.

50% trim should open the throttle about 1/8 inch.

NO BLADES for the first start and always always always LOOK at the throttle link before you crank it.
Mark idle on the carb with a Sharpie and always check that twice.

Almost all of us get a hot start in the beginning but it would be nice if you never do.
It's scary and costly sometimes.Almost always kills the clutch liner.

One hand gripping the head TIGHT when you crank it.
If it never starts spooling up,you can hold the blades back.
If it gets a second to spool up before you get a hold on it...it's too late and it will kick your a$$ and bust up the heli bad.

been him hahing around the exhaust instal because i havent been able to find small bolts that fit the hatori pipe or botls small enough to go all the way through with a nut.

cracked out some tools busted out the hatori nutzerts in the pipe and threaded the os50 for 8x32 bolts.

exhaust is now on







need to get out the dremel and clearancethe canopy around the pressure line coming off the pipe

did some reading in the OS50 manual and it aprears i have my throttle set up backwords

first idle in the driveway no blades or head or heck even cyclic servos. i got interupted. but from what i can tell shes running slobbering rich at 1.5 turns out but it sounds good to me. idleing at trim tab centerd at half hatch.
its not as loud as i thought it would be. i dount think you can tell from the vid but at about 50% throttle its pukeing out tons of fuel. i like it.

You won't be able to tell rich from lean without a load on it.
Need blades and at least hover pitch.
