For some reason I've got the boat bug. I like the 26cc hydro boats. Exceed RC sales one for 429 comes with motor servos and a cheap 26cc Gasser. Its a 49" boat I think its kinda cheap servos and motor kinda a entry level boat. But could be upgraded as seen fit. I've got a traxxas 2.4 radioand reciever that I'd use. I'd do my patented proton esc as the reciever power supply.

I've been thinking about a boat, but it would be electric. Nothing like you're thinking of. Sounds pretty fast. ;D

Nice hydros. Reminds me of the days out on the Detroit River with the Unlimiteds. They are so loud you can hear them 15-20 miles inland. 30 miles if the wind is right. Awesome stuff.
I could hear some prop cavitation in that first video. It really needs flat water to get efficiency. But, still plenty fast.
I'll probably start off with an offshore racer type. Nothing too fast or too expensive just to, "get my feet wet". ;D

That looks like a very nice boat. Quality hardware.

Just got this one and waiting for a 180 amp water cooled ESC for it. The finish on it is absolutely top notch. Being a cat hull, this thing is supposed to cut through water like a knife. I suspect to be changing out the motor and drive line to something stronger, but will do that when the existing gives up. Two 4000maH 2S LiPo's in series for balance, a 12kg Power HD metal gear servo and a X640 Octura prop to complete. Just have to polish and balance the prop yet. Could be a tedious job. There's a guy in Florida who sells just the FG hulls for $150 and $300 for CF. You need to paint it, add all the hardware including mounts, so this one from HK was a deal as far as I'm concerned.

WOW! That's one gorgeous CAT! What kind of speed do you expect sol? I've been lucky enough to watch the full sized ones in open ocean racing in the Keys. They are incredibly fast; even in 8-10ft seas. Huge twin turbo diesels. 1000's of horsepower.

Thanks 19k. I think it'll do about 40-42 mph out of the box, but not sure how long the motor will last. Will likely put a 4074 in it when this one dies and play around with different props.

That sounds like a speed where you can have some fun with it and room for improvement down the way.
