years and years ago I used to fly planks As you know I have been getting a few of them out and cleaning and lubing them up which I messed up one of the engines So I have had a nagging in my head I didn't understand I was sure that the telemaster was on floats but the one I messed up the engine wasn't on floats So today I went looking for the wings to the telemaster 40 I need to look somewhere else cause I didn't find them buuuut what I did find was my telemaster 70 which is on floats I thought I was loosing it somewhere So I guess I have another motor to clean up So how does the crockpot and antifreeze dip work out for cleaning the engine It's a pain getting older and forgetting whats hidden in the attic

Crockpot and antifreeze dip? ? I haven't heard of that one. Wow, my wife would have a cardiac arrest if she came home and found me doing that! LOL!

Akphill hit a nerve with his crockpot and antifreeze comment. A few months ago, I had to peel my wife off the garage ceiling, when she came out and caught me draining the motor oil out of one of our cars into our Thanksgiving roasting pan! (Honestly, I was going to wash it).

Yep, that's what I used. Be sure you don't let the antifreeze boil! It should be hot, though.
I left mine on for a day. It was too hot on one of the engines I later found in the attic, and it etched the aluminum a little.
There is the better stuff. I need to make a call to find out what it is... Kent

It's called EVAPORUST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You just soak the engine in it for a day and voila! They sell it at O'Reilly's or you can buy it online. It really is magic. I saw some old and black engines come out like brand new! www.evaporust.com/Kent
