Gerry I'm getting a good bind amber lights go solid then pull the bind plug out. Lights stay solid.
But then f I power down the reciever and power back up it comes back on and satellite and rx amber blink. Tried binding. 6 times. With the lights blinking all servos still respond to the sticks

I'm a dork. The blinking amber blinks because the rx was turned off while the TX was still on. Turn off rx turn of TX then turn on TX then rx back on and lights are solid. No problems at all

No problems at all lol....Mine was always blinking because I trusted the RX enough to never turn off the radio while I refueled. Glad you got it ok

Bought a backplate sensor. This will do double duty. Working as a Rev limiter sensor and telemetry rpm sensor

Now you can use telemetry to adjust the gain on the limiter.
Try for around 2050 RPM

yeah it comes with a jumper that goes to the tm1000 module but offcourse it doesnt come with the backplate sensor.
im still not sure how all this going to work or what head speeds to shoot for. ill shoot for 2050rpm like you say. but am i shooting for rotor speed or engine rpm. im thinking rotor speed so ill need to have someone shoot the tack for me to get some numbers in a hover then ill have numbers to tweak off of, i think?

got the 7100r backplate sensor yesterday and have spent a few hours trying to get the limiter set up. ive got gyro setting in norm at 100 and st2 at -100. when powering the reciever your suposed to toggle the switch as its powering up to get it to go into calibration mode. im on the aux2 wich is the 3 position gov switch. im not getting it to go into calibration mode. but i keep seeing that it may have to be on the gear switch to work. in the servo monitor when toggle the gov/aux2 switch it does toggle the gov between 100 and 100
im thinking i have to go into fmode and somehow change the gov switch from the aux2 to the gear switch while still being able to have a 3 position toggle on the aux2 switch.
i havent figured out how to get the telmetry and reciever to read the rpm sensor but i will. for now im going flying this stuff giving me a headache

Took me 2 days but I finally got the 7100r calibrated and even tossed a few numbers at it and hovers on the Rev limiter. Rpm with 100% throttle curve seemed low. So I decided I better tap the tm1000 telemetry into the back plate sensor So it can read the rpm. Got out the soldering iron. This is what I've come up with, hopefully it works.
