I was just thinking after watching the movie this.
How long before they can get the kinect to control a robot? just imagine your in your room at home, and im so arena somewhere two robots maybe not as big as the movie, are used to fight. while the robot controlers are at home. or even at your home your friends are outside watching in the yard while you and a buddy bash it out in the living room.
basically your the controller via kinect and your swings ect are sent via wifi to a robot. talk about a new level of robot wars ...

Its funny that you mention that. Im on a FIRST robotics team at a tech center and in the machinists program. Today was the start of the build. We have to build a robot that can shoot basketballs into hoops, at the start of each round we try and use a Kinect to control our robot to try and score a basket and after 15 seconds a human player takes over the controls.

that is cool. wow talk about not having a original idea dam it everytime i get one its either started 2 weeks later or already happening lol
