Im currently in the process of upgrading my Exi 450 to FBL. Right now Im still running a plastic tail and head. I figure now would be a good time to upgrade both to metal. Im going with a Tarot head and am looking at a copterx tail. Does anyone have any experience with the copterx tail? Or have any other suggestions that are cheap? I would go with an Exi 450 metal tail, but Xheli has been out of stock for the past 6 months, to no surprise. Heres the tail- www.ehirobo.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=173_175&products_id=4776

The copterx tails are fare quality I have been flying that tail for 2 years without issue But some have had the barrel break but I haven't heard of that a whole lot Sorry I don't have any personal experience with the tarot head parts.

I'm running the CopterX head and tail on my 450. I don't fly that heli a lot, but it does get flown and the headspeed is 3,400 rpm!
These have held up fine. Kent

Thanks guys I might buy one then, for $10 its worth a shot. Probably safer than my plastic tail as far as breaking.

One thing on the copterx tail. Sometimes they include shims with the tail shaft. They go on the inside of the bearings and you slip them onto the tail shaft before you put it into the assembly. If you crash, make sure you look to see if the shim is there on the tail shaft and pull it out and put it on the new shaft. sometimes you need it, sometimes you dont. You have to trial fit. If you have side to side movement of the tail shaft, then you need the shims. Other than that, I found the copterx tail assembly on par with my blueray parts. I got an EXI sport tail assembly about a year ago and it was better than the blueray or stock EXI stuff. that's the design with less screws on it. A Tarot tail will be the best clone part to get.

Thanks Dditch and Evan, I might go with the copterx tail after I get my FBL situation working.
