I just did my first successful loop with my Mcpx. A few flights ago I was trying them but wasnt having much luck, I crashed 3 times with no damage. I went out today and tried to do a flip to inverted and then back but that wasnt turning out, I ended up crashing again.
The battery was nearing the end and I got a sudden spark of confidence to try another loop lol. Well it turned out a success, it wasnt pretty but it was a loop. Im excited, its really nice knowing that when you crash the Mcpx, it isnt going to be totalled. So far I have about 7 crashes on it and the damage only one link was lost. It would make things easier though if the Mcpx was brushless because its underpowered. Hmmm...

Thanks guys! I just went out and flew it again and flew 4 loops without crashing. Once you get the hang of it, its not that hard. This time they looked a little more pretty. lol ;D

Just got back in from doing 4 more successful loops. I tried a 5th but when I came back around I was to low to recover and it came flying at me. It ended up hitting me on my side. It kinda hurt to even though it I had a Columbia winter coat on. It left rotor marks on my jacket. ;D There wasnt any damage except a link popped half way off and the main gear popped off, 2 minutes later and it was up and flying. ;D Did I mention I love this thing!

Well Im sad to say that the Mcpx is almost totaled. I crashed her hard. Was in the middle of a loop and must of forgot to reduce collective and it came down inverted and exploded on my jeeps roof. I saw white pieces fly everywhere. Picked it up off the ground after it bounced off my jeep.
The damage- -Cracked canopy or whats left of it -Tail Boom is split in 2 -Big chip out of one of the main blades -Lost one of the links
Altogether the damage is about $40, but seeing how Horizon doesnt just carry the tail boom your forced to buy the whole tail assembly which is $15. I might make my own tail boom out of 2mm carbon fiber rod that I have laying around, tons of other people have. So then the crash cost is about $25. They charge $13 for a cheap little canopy. Thats made for less than $1 in China.
