Well, I put it all on Ebay today I can't fly the helicopter any more for several reasons. My neck is in bad shape and the nerves in my arms are shot. It has been over 18 months since I picked up anything bigger than the Blade MSR. It was time to put it on the market and at least recoup a little $. Sucks! I kept a few plank and foamie items to play with. The HBFP is still in the garage and I still have the Futaba 6EX. So maybe someday I'll pick up the sport again. In the meantime, I'll pop in and smart off every once in a while. I have really enjoyed this hobby and enjoyed getting to know all my forum friends. Funny how giving up something so insignificant can make a person feel so sad...... Vaya con Dios amigos!

Thanks guys. I still pop in from time to time. Selling this stuff really brings back some good memories. Maybe, just maybe someday when I am as old as Dave I'll pick it up again. By then no telling what we will be flying. Maybe not even using a TX. Just brain power. I do hope for Dave's sake, that day never comes. After all, he will be the only one out there with a TX ;D

Oh man - this is awful. I think we are all dreading the day we have to hang up our radios permenantly. Perhaps some joy will come from passing our knowledge onto the next generation and watching them enjoy the hobby the way we did...

Gabe, I think my joy will be through picking on Sol and Dave. My knowledge is limited. Ray and Kent, thanks and it will always suck. I had to give up my field technician's position and took a job as dept. manager. I miss the field work but I am very grateful to have a job. Since my $$ is mostly made in the petroleum market right now, things are very busy. Now I just have to put in the 12 hr days for salary -- now that sucks ;D I am thinking about picking up a few foamie pieces and finishing a project I started before all this took hold. I'll let you know when (if) it works out. Oh, and Dave, one of my latest hobbies is smoking. I bought a rookie smoker in December and am babysitting a brisket right now. My favorite so far is pork ribs. Got any trade secrets you would like to share with us all? We won't tell

Thanks 19k. It all sold and shipped to the new owners. It was the right thing to do even though it wasn't easy. I regret being in this situation, but I don't regret selling out. At least I can bank something instead of staring at it and letting it rot. DAVID! Pay attention! Now Dave, doesn't that remind you of your one room school house days? You never answered me about smoking tips. No, not Dube's smoking tips

Dave went to school? Good point. ;D Do you suppose he gets his wife or one of his kids to read this stuff for him?
