Pilots, I would like to build an EXI 450 bare bones heli. I have a Futaba 6EX 2.4 heli radio and several Esky 8 gm analog servos. Are these servos adequate to allow me to learn. I can hover and fly forward a Honey Bee King 2. Thanks, Vince

I think they would do until you got something else.

I heard of another guy using the ESky digital servos in his EXI, he seems to be pleased with them for basic flight

A popular Trex 450 cyclic servo seems to be the Hitec HS-65HB. These are analog servos. An upgrade is the HS-65MG which has metal gears. These are said to be pretty much indestructible.
An upgrade to those is the HS-5065MG, which is a digital all metal gear variety.
The former runs an average of $25 each and the latter about $35 each. They must all be the same for cyclic.
As for tail servo's, it's a mixed bag. Some love Futaba flavors and others like the Hitec and JR flavors. The consensus though seems to be that the tail servo must be faster then 0.1 seconds for 60 degrees. The faster the better.
I am slowly building up my Exi T-450 CF and will probably go with the HS-5065MG's for cyclic.
No sense in taking chances with servos!!
