I had a chance to fly the little 30mm EDF F-86 from Great Planes today. It comes with full house controls. Having a rudder on a micro EDF is a treat. It also comes with a fixed landing gear; which I used even though I hand launched the plane. As advertised, the Tactic "Any Link" hooked right up to my DX7 allowing the Tactic Rx to communicate with the DSM2 radio. The only thing required was to change the mapping and reverse the controls. Easy to do as explained in the manual. The plane comes TXR including a 200mAh battery. The battery uses a micro Deans connector that connects to the ESC and balance charges through a jst 2S connector on the included battery charger. I've read a bit about this little plane on RC Groups and was a bit concerned by some of the negative comments about CG. Being tail heavy, wanting to flip over, etc. Well, in my experience, that was not true. Everything came in spot on. I underhand launched into a 5-10mph breeze. She took off straight as an arrow. I did circuits and figure eights. I looped and rolled and looped and rolled. Not a smidgen of trim was required. With it's compact size, this is an ideal EDF to fly in small areas. It flies at around 35-40mph WOT. Looks great in the sky. Handles nicely too. It could use a symetrical airfoil and another 10-15mph. But hey, I'm not complaining.

I saw one of these little guys at the field here last Sunday. The first flight looked hugely tail heavy. It was wanting to sit on it's tail. It crashed a couple of times in the grass with zero damage. The second flight looked much better. I don't know what the fellow did. It actually scooted right along! Pretty quick little sucker! He was using a Futaba radio. Seemed happy. I wonder what other models they have coming out? If you have an F-86, you need a Mig, too! I like it! Kent

I don't know what the tail heavy issue was, others have reported that too, but having the battery all the way forward worked for me.
Horizon has a nano Mig 15 coming out. It's late on delivery though. It is scheduled for May now. The Mig will feature a real airfoil and 3 axis gyro for stability. That should be very cool.
Let the air battles commence!
