This is my third version of the HLI 64mm F-86. This time I went with Callies Graphics and "The Huff" markings. I also added Sparky's (Parkflyerplastics) Canopy and Cockpit upgrade. The addition of the graphics and upgrades are relatively easy. If you order from Callie ask her to cut the size down 10%. The canopy and cockpit uprgade is thin plastic and requires some patience in cutting and assembling. Both are worth doing both if you're looking for something a bit different.

That's awesome!!! Note that they are selling the HL F-86 somewhere else now...Maybe Nitroplanes? A guy at our field showed up with one. It's EXACTLY the same as the HL one.
VERY nice job on the graphics, 19k! Kent

Thanks, Kent. You're certainly right about the model being available elsewhere. www.valuehobby.com/airplanes/jet-edf/f86-sabre-64mm-edf-receiver-ready.html and toysonics had an airframe kit. Sold out for now. I haven't seen it at Nitroplanes. I think HK may have had it at some point. There are others. I just can't recall them at the moment. Prices vary. Value Hobby seems to have the best price for an Rx ready. I'm fairly certain they are all made by LX/Freewing. HLI has been my source. They are reliable, usually have the individual parts I need, and came through with replacements when parts have been damaged in shipping. I've built the last two 86's from an airframe, and/or just parts, and added the erc 5000kv motor, a 40 A ESC, servos, Clone AR6100, or similar, and a 1550 25C GensAce 3S. I've been using the stock fan. Very strong for 3S. I'd go with Don's set up for a 4S version, which I'm still considering. Not much to these hand tossed models. Part of the appeal for me. Easy to build, convenient to use, is good for my day to day flying. Or, maybe I'm just getting lazier!
