I've always admired the Albatross. I bought a micro from Flyzone last year. It was fun to fly and gave equal pleasure as a mantle piece. So, when Parkzone announced their Albatross, I knew they had my number. I was prepared to be impressed from seeing the pre-release photos. But, when I saw it for real, I was blown away! This plane, without a doubt, has set a new bar for detail, engineering and quality for a foamy, IMO. As usual, the PKZ Alby is available in both BNF and PNP; ready for the legions of loyal Parkzone buyers always standing in line for the next warbird. Powered by a 480 with a 30A ESC and 1800 - 2200mAh battery; this WWI era plane is a great flying bird with more than scale like speed. Aerobatics are very scale like and she even likes to fly inverted. Coordinated turns with the big rudder are "turn on a dime" quality. Takeoffs and landings are a breeze on smooth strips, gravel surfaces and decent grass. She comes off the ground quickly, easily achieving a scale like climb out, and slows nicely for landings; allowing us to operate from fields with a minimum amount of space. Half throttle, low passes, are a must in order to revel in the pilot's scarf flapping in the airflow. A combat module is also available so you can do battle with the PKZ S.E. 5A., or any other allied parkflyer, equipped with the combat module. I've got to try that! The paint scheme is awesome. The scarf is a great touch! They have the struts looking very realistic. Great detail in the plastic engine and guns. They are crying out for some subtle paint touches and weathering. Very nice undercarriage. Strong and well detailed. Good looking, scale like, wheels as well. A glint of sunshine on the wind screen. Let's get this crate in the air and poke some holes in a Spad!

That would be great. There aren't that many represented at this time. Most of those come from Great Planes and Eflite. Speaking of Eflite: they have a larger scale Albatross on the way.
