Well, after me getting too impatient and my wife agreeing to me spending more money, I went ahead and bought the DX6i and AR6200 combo ;D Can't wait to get my hands on this bad boy as the final addition to my awesome new T-rex 450 setup. Got it from toysonic for $189 new so a little cheaper than most places. It is actually out of stock in most places I looked at and they are then only ones I found with Mode 2 ones for sale. Popular tx by the looks of it. Anyway, now I have a new toy to learn and play with and I should have my T-rex up and running by the end of the week now, can't wait!!! ;D ;D ;D Will post some videos on my build thread of the maiden flight, stay tuned....
P.S. Just went back to toysonic site to check something on the specs, and noticed I got the last one as it has now clicked over to saying out of stock! Perfect timing on my part ;D

Congrats Kiwi! It's an awesome radio.
Make sure you don't have the recall problem with that one.
Lookup the DX6i pot problem.
Make sure to check yours out carefully with the monitor when you get it, and even then check the serial number against the recall numbers.
I bought mine late last year, and it had that problem. I was able to fix it, but I recently made someone here a deal they couldn't refuse, but they are going to send it in to get it fixed for free. I just would hate for you to have any problems down the road, if yours is one of the problem batches. These do have a 3 year warranty, and Horizon will even pay for shipping both ways, so it's nothing but a minor headache to be without it for a few weeks.
Best, Kent (stuck in Norway for a while.)

Typical!! After I bought the DX6 from Toysonic I noticed that it went to out of stock. After not seeing a shipping confirmation two days later (and choosing priority shipping) I emailed them to find out the deal. Then I got a bunch of replies saying order declined and "we are sorry but it is out of stock". Really annoying when a place doesn't keep their stock up to date on a site. Anyway, they refunded my card straight away they said so all good. Looked around some more and found that Hobby-Lobby are the only ones with it in stock now that I can find, kinda crazy!! Cost me $10 more but who's counting $10 when spending $200 I guess!! Also got better and faster shipping for cheaper considering they are closer to me. Should have it in a couple days now so all good. Hopefully Hobby-Lobby arent lying about their stock levels....

That one is actually a mode 1 with throttle on the right, but thanks for the link. Saw the price and got excited then read down a bit and saw the mode 1 thing. When you click on the mode 2 info it goes to helidirect and they are out. Got the one from Hobby-Lobby anyway, $199 but at least they have them and I am too impatient to wait to save $10-$20! ;D
Oh, and BTW Beedm, yes my wife does have a sister but my best friend already married her!!!

Well thats a better price! Last night when I clicked on the link that said "mode 2 model click here" it just kept redirecting me to helidirect in Boston and they are out of the mode 2 radios. Maybe someone placed a sneaky link on their page to draw away customers!! Anyway, I ordered it already before I saw this one so will just have to take the hit, only $20 anyway. I'm in the wrong hobby if $20 is a big deal anyway that's for sure!! ;D. Now comes the waiting game, I hate this game...

Yay! I'm Glad you got a radio. I hate backorders, they are such a PITA to deal with. I always feel like they've forgotten me. I wasn't suggesting you cancel your order and buy this one. I was just trying to link a cheap radio. For right now, that's about as cheap as your going to get it on a new DX6i. Hobby Lobby is one of those 800 LB gorrilla retailers and this guy is small time.
I took that price to one of my LHS's back before Christmas when I bought it... they laughed and said, "well you still have to pay shipping", and I said "here I still have to pay tax, and this company has free shipping for orders over 100 dollars"(It was nearing Christmas and they were running that special). They stopped laughing, and then said to me "... if something goes wrong with the radio you can bring it back here." I asked them if they fixed the radios at their store and they said no they ship them out..... I was floored by the logic. I just raised an eyebrow, shook my head and walked out. The price of the radio was $200 + 16 dollars state sales tax. They get that radio for the same price as RRE Models. He's just a little guy out of Daytona.
In the long run, you save a bunch of money by shopping online and looking for deals. Unless you are independently wealthy (which I'm not), saving $20 here, $10 there works out to be a new heli down the road. I would gladly pay a little more to buy from a U.S. company but I don't want to pay a bunch more.
