That's an incredible amount of features for a little bit of money.

Agreed, the guys that have them at rcgroups swear by them. Because it's an open source platform, there is at least one person creating his own line of shells for them. This is a shell he's made:

That has a very retro look to it.

Check out this thread at Flying Giants: www.flyinggiants.com/forums/showthread.php?t=77127&pp=20&page=63It's a Pitts S1 scratch build thread. The whole thread is worth the read. It spans over a year, but more recently on page 63 (middle of the page) he starts talking about the FrSky radios. The guy who is building this plane, is using this radio and Rx. To me, that speaks volumes. It comes with a telemetry Rx and a case for $200. The 16 channel receivers are $33 dollars. I don't know man... for $200 bucks, as soon as I get my hands on one, I'm selling my X9303 and all my Receivers.

I pulled the trigger, and it will be here Wednesday ($5 dollar 2 day priority). I ordered from a company out of Miami called Range Video. Aloft has a large presence in the FrSky community on RC Groups(found out it's pronounced "Free Sky"). So the waiting list for a radio from Aloft was long. I was searching the internet to see if maybe someone else had one and sure enough, Range Video did. I confirmed the order this morning by calling them and I also asked a few questions which they gladly answered.
I want to make a thread for the radio. There are numerous "How To" videos but the best are by Scott Page from Aloft. I PM'd Dave and asked him where he wanted me to put the thread and I'm waiting on a response.
This radio is truly unique, but the real benefit to owning this radio is that you can program every channel. Your entire radio can be customized. I think anyone that's been in the hobby for a while can appreciate that. 16 channels with telemetry, voice alarms, and total control of the software... for $200 .... anyway... I'm excited, but I know it will be slow going for the next couple of months because I'm back in school and the homework is starting to ramp up.
I think a section for radios and then sub forums for each manufacturer might be cool. What do you guys think?

Sounds like a great idea to have a thread.

Started a thread in the new FRSky forum. It's only a reserved post for now.... Feel free to post up your radio, settings, links, tips and tricks.... etc. If there are other radios that you think need to be there send Dave a pm and ask him to add them.
