I am new to RC flying. Made my first flight today with my Super Cub S. I found the battery to be a tight fit and hard to get into the battery compartment. Any hints as to how this might be done more easily? I am also going to go to larger wheels so the Super Cub can take off from my club's grass strip.

The problem is that the battery compartment was designed for a smaller Nimh battery and never was altered to accommodate the slightly wider lipo that is used now. You can enlarge the battery compartment opening with a knife, or dremel, or cut the bottom of the battery compartment out to allow the battery to go in vertically. If you go the vertical mod route you can accommodate an 1800 or 2200 battery which will give you a lot more flight time. Dubro 2 1/2 or 3 inch wheels work well on grass.

Thank you for the reply. I will give the larger wheels a try. I may try a larger battery in the future.
