Hey guys. Big Ern McKrackin here. I was just trying to upgrade the battery on my Blade MCX. I'm hoping to get around 8-10 weeks of stable hovering from one battery. I seem to be having lift issues now. Can anyone help?

Maybe your blades need a little more pitch??

Mc.....I think I see the problem, not sure this is it so listen close and stay with me on this, OK. Where is the fuse holder and what are the loose cables coming off the battery. Don't they need to be connected to where the fuse is or is that where the charger connects. Anyways sounds like something is loose.

She is absolutely phobic of helis.Even the little birds.
I however, absolutely love it.It is bound to my DX7 so when I chase the dogs and cat around I'm getting real and true practice for my Trex.
That MCX has got to be the most stabile heli in the world.

By the way, that MCX tips the scales at just a click UNDER one ounce.Cool huh? It has a 110mAh battery. I got it today when I went to a Horizon Hobby franchise here locally.RC Pro Shop. I went to try the Real Flight 4.5 and walked out with another heli. The Real Flight 4.5 sim was unrealistically hard to fly in my opinion btw

Yep, I love my MCX too!!!
There is a 130ma battery you can get that gives you about another minute of flying. It's a Tenergy brand battery. Pretty cheap, too.
That said, the problem with the MCX is that it is SOOO stable that you will find yourself trying to do impossible things with it! Like landing inside a cup. Then when you miss and bugger up the blades, it's like oh well.
BTW, after a few hundred crashes and when you start to see unfixable TBE, just replace all the blades. That will fix it, if it is like mine. The screw on the flybar holder needs to be tight, but loose enough where the flybar as no slop and also no friction. This will fix TBE until the blades are too hosed up.
These are incredible little machines! I'm flying mine as I type! Just stick it in a hover above you and type away! The breeze feels nice! (Really, I did that, but I didn't type the whole thing while it was hovering! I had to let off the keyboard to fix the hover a few times!) Kent

Hey Mckrackin, have you modded your MCX yet?
Too slow forward?
Take the elevator pushrod and turn it in from 2 to 6 turns. Mine's turned in 5. Then fly it! You should be able to trim it out, in case you want to fly normally, but FF will be there. With this mod, you will have to deal with the dreaded 'death wobble', if you over control it. Ain't nuthin you can do if it gets into that.
There are other mods in the works for this thing. Kent
