Well it had to happen sooner or later. Nice calm sunny day and the park across the street was empty. Got the T-Rex out and crossed the street for a fly. Had it going left and right and all around me and some FF, and all was good. Then I got it a bit too nose in, overcorrected and swung away to the right at an angle. BAM!! into the ground it went and like Doozer says, I think I pooped a little ;D. Had some people watching too so the pride took a hit also! Walked dejectedly over to the heli to see the damage, only to find a pleasant surprise. The only thing that seemed damaged was a bent tail boom. I bent it back to almost straight, checked it over and fired it up. Hovered nice and smooth still so all good!! When I got back to the house and checked everything over I did notice that the tail servo is buzzing a lot though and just wants to push the tail slider all the way left or right depending on trim. It also has a little burnt smell so I think it is up for a change. All in all though not bad considering the hit, not even the blades broke!!
Damage is 1 tail boom at about $7-8 and a tail servo at around $20-35 depending on which one I get and if it keeps playing up. May also get the CF tail boom as it is only about $2 more than the alum one.
And thats not where my story ends. I went mountain biking to help ease the pain only to crack and break my CF rear shock stems on a fall!! Took it back to the shop and ended up getting congratualted on breaking an extremely strong part ;D. It's under warranty though so all good! I think I may be the McCrackin of bikes...

Sounds like a great day! Getting off with little damage is the icing on the cake. ;D
Happy landings
