I see all these great videos on youtube. And the tutorials are helping me emensely. Question is;
How do you post videos on youtube?
I have a camcorder-digital- but I have no clue on how to load videos on my puter, let alone on the internet. Do I need some sort of software for my camcorder?
If someone can help me,,,I'd love to post videos of my progress in the heli world! You can e-mail me with any info you have !
Thx

Not sure about the details, dont know how to do it myself, but I saw another post that you need to go to Youtube.com and set up an account.

Yeah just set up a new account in you tube and then it is really easy from there to upload and share the videos. Once you have signed up it is very straight forward to navigate around the site, I only just signed up too! Then you can link them onto a thread in this forum by clicking the 'tube' button above the face things and copying and pasting the link between the two bracketed you-tube words. Hope that makes sense ;D

If it is Vista, it probably has Windows Movie Maker on it. That is what I use. Once your camera is linked via the USB, you can que it to the spot you want and the software will walk you through the process of uploading. It will then let you edit and splice if you need to bleep a few things like I do. If you are not running Vista, possibly your camcorder has a disk with a software upload package. Mine did. BTW, it is going to test your computer memory and processor as well as eat a lot of HD. Hope it helps. If not, post and I'll give it my best shot.

Does the camera have a memory card? Is your XP machine set up with photo importing software of its own? What kind of camera?

Try plugging your camcorder into the computer via the usb cable. If you are lucky you can go to your" my computer "icon, should be located on your desktop. When the window opens up see if your camcorder is now listed. If it is click on it and follow the prompts.

THX ok so here's the deal. plug your cam in via USB port. turn the power on(on the cam) and there will be a balloon that will pop up in the lower right hand corner, that will tell you that windows is installing the drivers for this dievice. and then it will tell you that it's complete. then you should be able to goto my computer and find it in there. i've done this with vista & xp pro so start with that and tell us how it goes ;D

What is the model and manufacturer of your camcorder? You can usually go to the manufacture's website and click on support and find any drivers or software that is available for your device.

Thank you all,,,I went to the manufacturer web site and used their tech support,,,here's what I learned (and feel free to educate other idiots like me); My camcorder WILL NOT load videos using the USB port,,,it WILL load still photos from my camcorder using USB. I NEED a 'IEEE 1394' cable to connect my camcorder to my computer. My computer does have an IEEE 1394 port. A quit search on the internet and I have ordered the IEEE 1394 cable'''$3.00 and $7.00 shipping--go figure! My computer does have Windows Movie Maker so I can use that to load videos and load them to youtube , subposably.
I'll get this going sooner or later!
Thanks for the help guys!!

So elkmaster why do they call you elkmaster.....lol
Any left in the woods.
Elk Also hope you don't mind that I put it so we can view your movies here on site.
If you wish to do this all you have to do is click on the button at the top that says "Tube" with a red backround. Then paste your you-tube link between brackets. Should look like the following just want say code at the beginning.

Hope this helps. If you can't do it don't worry one of us will fix it for you if we see the link and not a movie.
