The HK450 is started. My brother is putting it together with a few tips from me. I want to get him into this addiction ;D Sorry,no progress pix.Kinda got caught up and forgot the pix. Here's a look as it sits now. I'm torn on trying to make it cheap or make it fly the best Cheap is losing the tug of war btw. Just installed a Hitec 5065 Digi tail servo,an Ar6100E Spektrum RX,and an Align RCE550 HH gyro.

Looks good Ern. Don't go cheap if you want him to become hooked. Needs to fly good so it can suck him in all the way. Dave

I hope you have better luck with those Towerpros than I did!
I also hope your tail stays put. I'm beginning to think that a 9t pinion may be what is needed with a 3500kv motor on plastic tails. Or maybe a slower motor...
Looks like a fun build! Kent

fireheli, i'm not sure if this's already addressed but it looks like your skid is installed backward. just flip it around. haha

I didn't even notice the skid thing when I looked earlier, good spotting!!
About the Towerpros, I am having no issues with any static or them failing on me. Got maybe 15-17 flights on it I think and a crash and they still go fine. Actually the crash really surprised me in that I only bent a tail boom on my T-rex, it was a pretty good hit too!! Anyway, back to the topic, if you don't try to fly the towerpros hard then they are ok as a starter servo, but I am going to upgrade to Hitecs when they die and I get better at flying. When you crash while learning then they are cheaper to replace than a $30 Hitec thats for sure!!
