Hey guys I have a question its sort of related to helicopters. If I tryed flying a coaxial in a rv or vehicle that was moving foward would the coaxial stay stationary in the vehicle or would it be pushed back since the vehicle would be moving foward? I hope this makes sense I was just wondering.

I remember this from school. Speed is relative. It would hover in an RV.If the windows are closed.
A person on a train doing the speed of light walking to the front of the train at 3mph is moving 3mph.Not 3mph faster than the speed of light ;D

If the RV slowed or stopped suddenly then the heli would shoot forward though. Has to be going a steady speed to make it hover in one spot. As a side note, when I worked on dive boats I would jump up when the boat went down on a swell. If I timed it right and jumped high enough I could catch the boat lightly on the way back up, good fun. Used to keep the customers distracted too rather than throwing up!!

Einstein spent a lot of time thinking about this (his example was a moving train or elevator). You guys summed it up in a few posts ;D Bet Einstein couldn't fly a heli either ;D ;D

That's a myth about Einstein and the shoes. He convinced other people to tie them for him. So, he wasn't just smart, he was crafty. ;D
If you stop the rv, bus or starship abruptly enough everything is going to continue at the previous speed that isn't tied down. That's why we have air bags.
Happy landings
