I need some advise on a CP heli. Which one to get. I was throwing around the idea of getting one, but not sure what to get. I like the Walkera 4G3, but was also thinking something larger like an Eagle 50 or similar. I really dont want to spend a lot being this will be my first CP. Will the 4G3 be easier to fly because its a micro or will a larger heli be? Thanks

From my limited experience, bigger is always better. Atleast when it comes to helis anyway. ;D

I dont have any experience with the 4G3, but something that small has got to be a handfull (harder to fly) than a larger heli. I havnt heard much in favor of the Eagle 50. I think maybe one good reply. I would recommend something like the Exceed G2 or maybe an EXI that you could build. If you keep your eyes open you can catch the G2 on sale for a pretty good price. Lots of satisfied G2 owners out there. Exceed G2 www.xheli.com/dr39elrcrare.htmlExceed G2 Brushless www.xheli.com/rag2sesed6ra.htmlEXI SE www.xheli.com/exi-450-arf-rc-helicopter.html

The bigger they are the better they fly. 4G3 is a really nice bird, but if you're new to CP and want to fly outside (4G3 is might light for a breeze) it wouldn't be my choice.
I had good luck with my Eagle 50 although many others have had issues.
Ranben listed a few good helis to consider.
Happy landings

I like the G2, and the price is great. I also like the 50 cause its $100. So I guess it comes down to which store has one in stock.

For the extra money, you'd be much, much happier with the G2. Sometimes XHeli has them on fairly cheap.
The biggest difference is the belted tail on the G2. Much better system than the motor tails of the Eagle 50 and CP2. Those motors are virtually the same as you have in your HB.

I was thinking that too, and every place I checked the 50 is sold out. And xheli has the best price on the G2.

XHeli had the standard G2 on for $111 last fall. I would think they are due for another price blitz soon.

OK ordered the G2 today from raidentech. They had it $20 cheaper then xheli. Everyone else had it for close to $200 Got it for $149, with lipo.

Cool mxw,
Thats a pretty good price for that heli. Not the best I have seen, but still a good price.

Good luck.It is a good heli. Remember though,a Trex clone gets you moving forward much faster. If 3D is your goal,Trex. If hovering is the goal,G2 works pretty well.
