What an amazing story of customer support!! I mean those folks willing to do that for you!
I will definitely give them some business someday. People like that are very rare, and we need to support them when possible.
I sure hope you get your stuff back for the weekend!!
Best, Kent
(PS: I received a BIG box today....I wonder what's in it besides all the empty boxes???) ;D

Ouch MC, what happened here. Isn't that a helicommand on the side? Shouldn't that help if you're flying it over your head?!
I'm just asking because I'm still in the process of having a Trex 600 ESP put together for me. I'm not sure how I would handle the heart break if that thing hit the ground really hard on the first few times out.
I'll just have to take it easy and try the crazy stuff on the sims and with my 450 before I start trying to turn the 600 upside down.

My bad, I only read the first page on this one before commenting. Bum deal on the mis-communication MC, but that sounds like great customer service from David. He was also very helpful for me when I spoke to him.
Let us know when you've got this guy up and flying again.

lol... By over my head I meant above my ability. Yup,got a Helicommand.Don't rely on it much anymore. If you were to fly a 600 with a helicommand it would be nearly impossible to crash in normal casual flying. A 600 without a helicommand flys about the same as a 500 with one.
My crash was my fault.I was doing some fast 3D with the helicommand set on green mode thinking this would help. I've only found out lately it may have caused the malfuntion that brought me down.
I'm having the green mode on the helicommand disabled as we speak ;D
I say go for it on the 600 w/helicommand.You'll be amazed on the first battery.

What is 'green mode' on the helicommand?
What modes are there?
Why are they so hard to setup?

The Helicommand can effectively fly the heli on its own. The set-up is complicated because it has to be able to completely bi-pass the regular controls. All your controls run through the Helicommand.Even if you turn it off,it is still the first line of communication between you and the heli. All your mixing has to be off.Your rotor head has to be set as ONE servo controls all.All the EXPO's and mixes has to be zero.
Green mode can hover your heli by itself. One position. One altitude.Set the TX down and go for a beer.It will be there when you get back.
Orange mode holds it level at all times.Even inverted.
Red mode is OFF!!! All you.
Hard stick banging 3D will confuse it and cause a total loss of control. The book says so.
It is an awesome training aid but can in no way replace stick time.
Treat it as a parachute. Do your 3D and when you get "Over your head" flip a switch and BAM it is sitting there in a level and perfect hover.

That is amazing. As an EE, I have thought about what it might take to do something like that with these helis.
The folks who designed the Helicommand no doubt have YEARS of development effort in that system and probably are seeing little rewards from their investment, unless they are also doing military work.
I bow the deepest bow to them. Kent
