Sorry for the huge delay with this thread response. With a 450 running around 80% on the throttle curve with zero pitch, an 11t pinion will net around 2,500rpm of headspeed. This is perfect for general flying and will make the heli smooth flying. With everything above the same, changing to a 13t pinion will give you 3,000-3,200rpm headspeed. The heli will be much more responsive (twitchy) and will easily do 3d maneuvers. Best, Kent Thanks, Kent! I think the 11 will be best at this point in my pilot training. 13 comes when I am "sperienced".

OK. I wrecked & fixed it and went to fly it again. In my rush to "get er up" (damn dummy) I spun it up and noticed "tail wag" but refused to address it before lifting off. As I increased throttle it literally "jumped" off the ground. What the hell did I do to affect it that way? In any case I freaked out, panicked and got off the throttle way too fast and she hit hard - then the main blades flexed and bent the friggin boom AGAIN - as well as knocking off my GYRO and busting a linkage off the rotor head. Got them fixed but need EXPERT ADvice on; (1) the tail-wag issue! What could be causing it? ? AND (2) why would it "jump" off the ground rather then smoothly lift off? Remember..........I am a "MR GREENHORN" so be kind. PS, FYI- I found that most items to fix a EXCEED G2 are the same as WALKERA 35c's. I liked the price of the rotor blades $11.70 as opposed to WALKERA at $19.95. I bought TWO pair of canary yellow blades (which I can see better too).
