This board has become stale ? It might for the moment, as everyone has moved up to bigger toys. The good thing is that everyone has gained some experience quicker than if they weren't on this forum. I'm not sure what the next level is, but like other forums we all need to spread the word out - "Built by Members for Members".  |

I think RTF has hit the nail on the head everyone has moved up in their skills and knowledge. We have a lot of members that do nothing but read your post and use the knowledge, which is OK I guess. I have also noticed that we have a great deal of guest that visit with us from time to time. I believe that these to are people that just read the post and use the knowledge. There is one thing I could do to prevent this and that is to force anyone that comes to your site is to sign on in order to read your post. I choose not to do this unless the members want it. As all of you know RTF has a link to this site on his site, www.rtf-heli.com/ and I have also asked Kyle at www.rcsupersales.com if he would give us a link on his site and he said he would be glad to the next time he updates it so this will be our second outside link. One thing I would suggest is those of you that visit your LHS if they have a bulletin board ask them if you can leave something on it about RC Heli Talk to include our web address, www.rchelitalk.com. Like RTF said spread the word and they will come. We have a great deal of knowledge here that people can learn from......... Dave |

I have noticed that there arent alot of new comers here. Most of us arent new to the hobby anymore so we dont have alot of questions.

what gets me is he deleted his account, all he had to do was not log in for a while. wasnt he the one with all the PC issues?
also alot of us are working long days now that its summer, and get little flying time in me for one. also there are other things people do in the summer.

Dave, I agree we need to spread the word. I'll make a request at Hobby Zone for a link and at all of our local shops where I'll also request they put up a poster.
I would vote against any changes in the forum's current policy with regards to guests.

Ern's done a lot for this forum. I'll give him credit and also cut some slack. He sure as heck has a lot more info to offer than I do. Hope he heads back this way.
As far as new stuff, Dave, 19k, RTF, etc have good points. Got to get new blood in here. Most of us are either somewhat to a more advanced level and can answer our own questions, or haven't had time/money to push it a little further, like Coffin pointed out. If I had my way without money issues I'd be busy posting about an Align 250 and fighting Fergie over who got to post on the Beam E4 ;D.
Places like RCDisgust have a constant feed of old and new as the frustrated new customers make a desperate search for help. Luckily, we don't frustrate people like that. Not so luckily, most who are new and frustrated have a hard time finding the forum. I'll spread the word with what little influence I have.
BTW, seems like the forum goes through something like this every month or so. I'll bet the larger forums do to, it just isn't as obvious.
