Well, the good news is:1. I needed an excuse to put the Align CF frame on. 2. I always wanted to see if you could make the nose touch the tail. 3. The Boom is still straight. 4. The Battery is still intact. 5. After rebuild, I will have absolutely Zero EXI parts remaining on the bird. 6. Since I have the rest of the week off, I have plenty of time to work on it. 7. 3 out of 4 servos are okay. 8. It isn't going to be too cold in the garage to work on it. If I am lucky it will be over 100 degrees every day 9. If we start a Crash and Rebuild section, I can be first! 10. I got to break in those BRAND NEW BLADES the first day (Dam, Dam, Dam) 11. And Best of All.... ;D[/size][/move]Pictures to come soon.....

That's sad, BT!! How'd it happen? Kent Well, I was having a little difficulty with my setup and was tweaking the throttle/pitch curves. My issue was not being able to maintain an altitude. Either up or down but no level hover. Nothing that couldn't be corrected. Anyway, I was practicing circles, which I had just learned on the HBFP. Slow circles, at that. Somewhere about 3/4 around it started getting ugly. I really don't know why. I swung the tail half way around and I guess I hit the aileron right instead of left and took it down sideways. Really, it all transpired in about 2 seconds. It really didn't look that bad until I got the canopy off. I don't think it will be a high $$$ repair. It just looks ugly.

Sorry about the wreck BT. Things can go from bad to worse quicker than you can say "holy cow".
Happy(ier) landings

I have a suspicion "holy cow" wasn't the exact utterance at the time. Sorry to hear about the cruch, BT. At least you're staying upbeat about it all. Like you said...time for the CF frame...just not under these circumstances.

Okay, here are some pics. Of the top of my head, not having done any disassembly yet, my beginning parts list is: Frame Kit (I have one) Main Shaft Feathering Shaft Main Grips (not sure yet) Blades Skids Tail shaft Servo kit New or Repaired ESC (depends on if it has other damage besides the wires. Alpha motor took a blow, but is probably okay.

Hard to get in a picture, but the inside frame is tweaked near the boom. The gyro mount sets crooked now, too.
Really, it is not a high dollar crash, except for the frame. Between what I have and the care package Kent sent this way, I should be setting pretty soon. Hopefully, no surprises with the electronics or during the disassembly.

When did you put the blue CNC head on it? I thought you just upgraded the tail. ...and did you have a problem with the EXI main gear? I see that was upgraded, too. ...and the answer is "The Twist", although maybe Dee Dee Clark's ditty would fit, too.

Got the CopterX head/tail combo right before Crash #3 which also took out my trademark fluorescent orange "tramp stamp" tail blades. Okay, Dee Dee Clark Are we talking "Hambone" or "Just Keep It Up" Another option would be Tom Petty "Learning to Fly, but I ain't got wings. Coming Down is the hardest thing" ;D ;D
