Nope, didn't notice. Did notice the missing Eagle canopy, though.

That's funny!
I put the flybar paddles on backwards after one rebuild and never noticed it in the air! It flew just fine! I just happened to notice it one day. Fixed it and no difference! Of course, that was early on when I couldn't tell much of anything anyway...

I took the time to set that thing up as perfectly as possible Sunday night and a little yesterday. I'm still on the baby steps as far as throttle/pitch curves. I don't even have the idle up function enabled. I set my pitch at -1. -0.5, 0, +5, +8. My throttle curve is something like 0, 25%, 60%, 80%, 100%. I am playing around with this a little, so nothing set in stone.
I went through two batteries just hovering in my yard with a few mild punches (branches at about 35 feet don't seem close until you punch a 450 ;D). The wind was way too unpredictable and gusty for anything more than that. With the 13T, this put my flight times to around 8 minutes per battery. I tested with both a freshly charged Hyperion G3 2200 mah 35c and a Zippy Flightmax 2200 mah 25c. With the 11T, I could get around 11 minutes using around 75%. I can live with 8 minutes. I have two more batteries on the way ;D ;D
And with all the pitches set, it still sounds scary with that 13T head speed.

Nope, didn't notice. Did notice the missing Eagle canopy, though. The eagle canopy is alive and well, but I thought I needed a change of pace (and luck) ;D AND.....I am hoping I can see that thing better ;D

I don't know where you find those stickers, BT! They sure turn a plain ole yeller canopy into something to look at!
I probably never mentioned it before about your darker canopy, but yes, lighter ones are way easier to see in the sky!
I just installed some K&B really bright yellow flourescent tail blades on my 450. You can see these before anything else now! And if you can't see them, you are sideways in the sky! I ordered some for my 500, too!
I would love to hear about how visible your NEW heli is in the sky! Kent

So far, I am limited to hovering in the yard. The wind is pretty gusty, not to mention my time is limited because of that dirty word -- work. Wal Mart! The eagle and the pirate skull were the only ones I found that would fit a 450 canopy. Yea, I knew the black would be harder to see, but it was so cool looking when I was crashing ;D ;D. I had a set of fluorescent orange blades and want to get another set, either orange or yellow. I just haven't gotten around to ordering them yet. LHS seems to perpetually out of the 450 ones. I do wish they were a little stiffer. They bend more than the Align plastics and a little less than the EXI stock. Some Canadian (I won't mention names) teased me about them so I now officially call them my heli "tramp stamp". ;D

Dude, I'm in the same boat. Hadn't flown in weeks. Took the Blue Ray out and wrecked her on the second flight.
Ordered all CNC head and tail, new skids, flybar and paddle, CF blades, mainshaft, main gear...it was a total wreck. The only things that survived were the electronics and the frame.

Bummer, Gabe!! I hope things go together smoothly!
I also hope you were able to get the super deal on the CNC head/tail combo. Kent

Turns out the tail drive gear was rubbing on the servo and it spun off. That's what caused the crash.
Bad engineering man.
