Waste of money on a 600 heli. This motor is surely meant for an 8S system or a 17T pinion on a 500 heli.
I gave it hell today and feel like I was left wanting on the power dept.
The 650L is just as if not more powerful.
Lucian from Innov8tive tells me that this motor is good for 8S set-up.Hmmmmm.Before I paid,it was good for a 6S. Now it is just acceptable for 6S.
Innov8ive is just another e-tailer needing a sale. They have very very good follow up. They won't let you buy something you can't use but they will let you buy something you can use even though it may not be what you need. I wanted a super powerful heli motor. What I got was the most powerful motor they had listed for the Trex 600. Their listing is off. Get the most powerful motor for the Logo 500.
They admit that they don't provide for Align often but they want to.
Trex 600.....Scorpion 4035

Looking at the 4035s,,,,they don't have anything that will work on a 6 cell,,,,highest KV is 800,,,and you would need a 10 cell to get 2351 rpms headspeed.
Did you use the 17T pinion on it yet? Still not enough? Is that motor rated for 29.6 volts?
Yea,,,seems like Lucien just wanted a sale!

The 16 and 17T pinions haven arrived yet.I will see how they perform. The 4025 has no flat on the shaft either so you put a lot of faith in a grub screw holding. Mine worked up on the shaft today and chewed the hell out of my main gear and even chewed into the servos a little.
First,I'll cut a little off the length of the shaft and then cut a flat on the shaft.
The motor is running pretty hot too so I'm not sure how the 17T will perform.
In a full on climb, the motor bogs some. Not as much as the Align though. This is probably the cheapo lipo. My next clear check will bring an Outrage or Hyperion to the mailbox.
Even with the bogging, the Align with a 15T performs as well as the Scorp.
I won't give up on it too quick.Got a few more things to try first.
More to follow...

I just cut a little over 1/4 inch off the main shaft of the Scorpion and alsoflat spotted the shaft for the grub.
I put the motor back and Wow. It meshes soooo much smoother now. It felt OK before but now it's silk ;D There could easily be some HP released here. I can't hardly wait til daylight to try it.
The lack of power may just be builder error. This motor cannot be used right from the box. Some mods are necessary to the motor as well as the heli if you plan to use it in a Trex 600.
More to follow...

Is the 4025 rated for an 8 cell? I didn't see any operating voltage on the product description. You'll have to drop down to a 14T for the 8 cell too. Actually,,,13T maybe,,,that would give you 2240 headspeed. Man,,,I'd hate to have to start buying 8 cell batts now.
Hey,,,,do you think that two 6S 2700mAh batteries would fit under the canopy of the 600? I have some coming for the 500,,,hook them up parallel and I'd have a 5700mAh for my 600. I'll have to figure if the weight would be too much.
Good luck!

Well, the Scorpion runs quieter for sure but not any noticable power increase.I have a video uploading that you can here the motor. It still bogs some but not bad. It's a little better than the Align motor and it should be killer at 8S.
And yes,it's OK with 8S.As a matter of fact, more guys are using 8S with it than 6S.

That little cruise took 3600mA from my pack. Not too shabby I guess.

Nice flying Ernie! Yea,,,I 'think' if you put on the 16T or 17T on, the headspeed may help with the bogging. Have you ever considered using the governer mode? I've read that the ESC will adjust power under loads to maintain headspeed,,,,might be worth a shot,,,,especially with that scorpion ESC. You using that yet?

No,never got it. Never paid for it so I'm not complaining. At any rate,I'll make sure my next ESC is capable of handling 8S power. I deefinately am going to try 8S with a 13T. May be a week or more before the funds present themselves but it will happen ;D For now,I'm satisfied with the Scorp and plan to keep it. If for no other reason than to twist the neck of an HK500

If for no other reason than to twist the neck of an HK500 I figure that at 2240 rpm headspeed,,,thats about 100 more than I have and you should have WAY more torque. I think it's a good move!! Not a lot of options with 8S batteries is there? I'm curious,,,I'll go look!! ;D

I was thinking two 3700mah 4S Not sure how much flight time you would get. You should try this; www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=8584$115 for TWO!! I have one with me right now,,,I'm going to use it on a twin EDF jet I have coming. I test fit it on my 600 and they will fit, it is the same width as the battery tray. 25C enough? I would think so!! I have a couple zippy 3s 2200 and a 4s 2200 for my other jets and they great. Remember when I puffed a 3s pack on my 600? Well,,,the Zippy was the one that didn't puff on that test. ;D It's an option!!
