I've been working to speed up reaction and control on the 600. It seems heavy and slow now that I've been flying the 450 so much. I took the aleron travel limits from 75% to 120% and that was a bit too much.I backed it off to 100% and that was perfect. I also swapped the 15T pinion for a 16T.Love that too. I decided to see how the Helicommand would react to the changes.I flipped it on about a foot from the ground.Duhhh!!!! If the HC isn't on when you power up it's not going to be calibrated.I KNOW THAT!!! It rolled over fast as hell.A foot off the deck is no room for corrections. Damage is very minor but not cheap.Blades.Flybar.Tail boom.Torque tube.(Hey Elk,not one stripped gear in the TT system.lol)Skids suspension.Main gear.Auto gear.A few linkages. Not bad really.That's three crashes that the HC caused every time.Hmmmm     |

Bummer!
I'm on hold for a head housing,,,,won't be flying again til probably wednesday! Well the 600 anyway.
I've flown 6 batteries thru my 450 today with no mishap,,,,thats a RECORD!!! LOL
Ernie,,,I DID get some of those grey 600 nitro umbrella gears,,,I just put one in,,,I'll let you know if I can tell any difference!

readyheli.com and helidirect.com they are pretty fast,,,same price,,,,,,,helidirect has some good deals sometimes!! Both of them free shipping on a $100,,,which ain't hard when you crash a 600,,LOL!

Yeah,seriously.lol I got a list at helihobby.com for $192 and I'll have to find the main gear and auto gear somewhere else.Seen them on fleabay as a set for $28. |

Oh,by the way,the front gear for the TT is missing two teeth Also the frame bottom is broke and main shaft bent. |

Oh,by the way,the front gear for the TT is missing two teeth Fly it!! I heard a small click one day and I found the same thing,,,that forward TT gear had two teeth missing(next to each other),,don't know how or when that happened. I held the auto-rotation gear and the tail grips and tried to make the gear slip,,,it wouldn't. I flew that way for about 10 flights until this latest crash. I replaced that one with the grey nitro gear,,we'll see if it is stronger or not. |

lol...I'll replace the gears since the heli is all the way torn down anyway.
I found the cause of the crash.Definately the HC.
