That is freakin nice dude. I paced a hole in the floor over that. The kid that sold me my 500 had a 600 for the same price. It came down to how big did I want to go.
By the way,he has a RTF 600 for $799 if you're interested.

I wouldn't have bought an Align if I hadn't built the little 250. That sold me. That thing is designed very well, and flies more smooth than any heli I have. $900 is still a good price considering for that RTF. I'll be sinking, a lot more than that into this heli... eventually. It wasn't something I could pull off In one payday. I tried making my kids go out and shine shoes and peddle out of date candy bars pulled from the dumpster behind Walgreen's. It was ineffective.
However, I have a 10% lifetime discount with rcsupersales (I was a Marine and he gives a military discount when you show him your dd214). I like that this guy has put customer service at the forefront as well. I'm willing to pay a little extra to buy from this guy. But that doesn't mean I'm willing to pay a lot extra. If someone can sell it cheap, that means he can too. So if he stays with the current level of customer service, I'd always like give Kyle first crack at matching or coming close to the price I want.
Anyway, I hope to have everything to start building in about 3 weeks. The kit has the motor, ESC, Blades. I'll be putting Hyperion servos and the Logictech 6100 Gyro Servo Combo in it. I also have to buy batteries, and a charger. I'll be posting my potential parts list for everyone's thoughts and ideas this weekend.

Kyle shipped my 600.... yay! I'll be ordering the electronics next Friday. I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with two 3 cells instead of one 6 cell. That way I can share batteries with a few other helis and I don't need a charger right away. Thanks for the suggestion Ernie. That alone has made being on this forum worth it. I will get 6s lipos and a charger later. After this 600 I want to spend some money on power systems. Waiting to fly is starting to suck.

I bought the Trex 500 ESP combo package from RC machine for $650 plus $50 for shipping. It comes with everything except Tx and Rx: align GP750 gyro, DS 520 tail servo, 3 DS 510 cyclic servos, Align carbon filber blade and bonus (not sure the brand) carbon fiber blade, 2 of 3s lipos, charger (not needing this anyway, generic little charger). This is the latest version i believe. It has torque tube instead of belt drive like earlier version. The belt drive creates lots of ESD (electrostatic discharge). So if you guys bought the belt drive for Trex 500 and bigger size, you should probably think about grounding your system. Look on helifreak.com they have some nice mod there. Well, got everything built. Thanks to finless bob vid. I'm having problem setting up the gyro. I only got into the bobby for a couple months. So i'll play around with the EXI 450 I've just finished building last night before gettting the Trex 500 into the air.

Man... I've got so much heli stuff going on right now. I rebuilt the HBFP (old school style), I've been working on my little guys (Walkera 4#3B's). Getting ready to make them brushless. My Xeon is acting up. I meant to get on that today but.... I flew instead. Flying up and down the street. That's fairly hectic. I need a spot where I can fly without worry. So after a few near misses, I decided to call it and practiced piros in the garage. Everything flew a little today until the batteries ran out. I've got so much to buy. My extra cash from this payday coming up is already spent.
... and the 600 comes tomorrow. I need to clear room on my table.
The DX6i thread isn't finished. I took a long time to do, but I'm hoping that someone with a little more experience with that radio will jump in and make corrections or add other similar posts.
